As power electronics engineer, you will design mechanical components of the energy and power dense lithium-ion battery packs and DC/DCs from 0.5-40 kW to be used in AirCar. Optimizing designs for reliability, weight, and efficiency will be the focus.
Develop designs meeting required mechanical, electrical, and thermal specifications unique to a lithium-ion battery systems and BMS
Develop designs meeting required power distribution systems, DC/DC converters, cabling and connectors
Utilize lightweight materials and packaging solutions to reduce weight
Perform hand calculations and first principal analysis of designs followed by optimization in FEA software packages
Build and test your own designs to ensure first articles meet functional requirements
Participate in design reviews to ensure cross functional alignment and solicit feedback
